“Well, I've been knocked down, blown up, lied to, shit on, and shot at, so nothing surprises me much anymore except the things people do to each other. I'm not a virgin except in my heart. I'm a licensed pilot, everything from Jennies through jets. I've taught karate in Tokyo and lectured on economics at Wharton. I can memorize the front page of The New York Times in five minutes and repeat it back to you in five weeks. I can follow anyone anywhere from in front or behind. I can go forty-eight hours without sleep or a drop in efficiency. I can bench-press four hundred and fifty pounds ten times without a break and was national Golden Gloves champion three years in a row. I speak four languages fluently and can wrestle with a menu in five more. One more thing; I lie a lot.” - Heat by William Goldman, 1984
I believe I was born some time during the last half of the 20th Century, as far as I can remember, it was in the area of the eastern mid-western united states.
While accepted science does trace all human origins back to Africa, my more recent ancestors have been (with a few unconfirmed rumors to the contrary) predominantly from European extraction. Dutch, German, French, Welsh, English, Irish, Scot and some Bohemian Czech to round things out. As far as racial labels go, I’m comfortable with being called “beige” or “mutt”.
No offense is intended, I’m working on some personal issues and for the most part “white people” aka Caucasians, don't frighten or disturb me as much as they used to.
Like most everything about me, I have been told that my sense of humor is an acquired taste.
In no particular order I have, among other things, been gainfully employed in the following sundry occupations: hasher, petroleum transfer consumer relations agent, federal maritime button man, corporate enforcer, provincial turnkey, courier for a federally liscenced loan shark, logistics manager, waiter, pharmaceutical compounder, painter, adult media distributor, film and microfiche technician, international industrial sanitation contractor coordinator, adult escort promotional representative.
Due to a chronic condition which began manifesting itself in and around 2001, I became semi retired in 2003. .The medical professionals have given it a name.
It has taken me the better part of the last three years to move from regarding it as painful inconvenience to being one more part of the obstacle course. It can only temporarily beat me, it can never stop me.

Hey dear friend, I think of you and your obstacles like the saint in this poem of Hafiz
"What is the difference
Between your experience of Existence
And that of a saint?
The saint knows
That the spiritual path
Is a sublime chess game with God
And that the Beloved
Has just made such a Fantastic Move
That the saint is now continually
Tripping over Joy
And bursting out in Laughter
And saying, "I Surrender!"
Whereas, my dear,
I am afraid you still think
You have a thousand serious moves."
