Catching up on the New Year… or not...

I had drafted a post around the time of Sadaam’s hanging, it was meant to be an end-of-the year screed reflecting on both world events as well as changes in my own reality tunnel.

It turned into a bit of a tedious rant beginning with my take on the timing of Sadaam’s much advertised date with a noose. After I had typed up about a page of that, I got caught up in some other matters and before I had turned around twice it was January 2nd and I was preparing to take off for Malaysia with Random for my first visa run.

Since the trip (see next posting) I have reviewed what I has started on and canned the whole mess. It was my typical long winded political wailing and even I didn’t find myself too interested, so why put anyone else through it?

I have gotten a few New Year greetings and, although a bit late, I would like to extend my wishes to all of you for a happy, exciting, loverly (sic), or what-have-you New Year.
